Class fees are not subject to refunds; if you are unable to attend a class, we will gladly apply your tuition to future classes. Sign up early to ensure your space!

All class participants will receive a 10% discount on any supplies purchased for classes, including textbooks.

Fredrick & Ann Scarf

Date & Time: Friday, February 3 & 10; 1pm -3pm.
Cost: $40

Class description: Learn to to read charts with Nancy while you create this beautiful scarf. Class fee includes both classes and a third session to assist with finishing.

Beginning Socks

Date & Time: Wednesday, February 8th, 1pm - 3pm
Cost: $35, Includes--Sandra's sock book
Instructor: Sandra Ortega
Skill Level: Beginning, must know knit and purl
Class Description: Learn to knit socks on 5 double points needles
Supplies needed: Sock yarn of your choice, Set of double point needles in size needed to achieve gauge, yarn and needles purchased at time of the class.
Magic Loop
Date & Time: Thursday, February 9th; 1pm - 3pm

Class description: Explore the dynamices of knitting in the round with jount one needle!

Wonderful Wallaby
Date & Time: Thursday, February 16th, 1pm-3pm.
Cost: $30
Instructor: Shelley Wardrop
Class description: It’s the macaroni and cheese of sweaters. You (or whomever you knit for) will find the ultimate “comfort” sweater! Sized and styled for infants to grown-ups, using fingering to worsted weight yarn. You’ll want several, so start choosing your yarn.

Design Your Own Sweater Class
Date & Time: Saturday, February 18th, 11am-2pm
This is a two-session class. The first class is scheduled and the date of the second class will be determined by the participants and will be scheduled three to four weeks after the first one. Space is limited.
Class description: What if--
    * Every time you knit a sweater, it fit absolutely perfectly?
    * You could use up your cache of yarn?
    * You could see a sweater and make one just like it for yourself?
    * You could be free of the bondage of confusing, complicated directions?

Join us for our Design Your Own Sweater Class and learn to knit creative, seam-free sweaters on your own with ANY yarn!!
Instructor: Jean Akulfi; Jean began knitting at the age of 12 and her first project was a red sweater. Because of her subsequent experience with several ill fitting sweaters she confined herself to projects like baby blankets and tea cozies, shawls, hats and mittens. When Lisa Haberman offered this class in Designing Your Own Sweater, Jean jumped at the chance to design a sweater that would actually fit the wearer. With the success of multiple perfectly fitting sweaters under the Jean’s belt and Lisa no longer living in California, Jean has enthusiastically agreed to share this liberating class in order to help other frustrated knitters
Skill level: You don’t need to be an expert knitter to start designing, but knowing how to knit and purl is essential.
Cost: $35
Supplies needed:
   1. 3-4 ounces of light color 4-ply knitting worsted-weight yarn; 1 ounce of 4- ply knitting worsted-weight in a contrasting color, your choice of fiber.
   2. 16” circular needle in size #6, #7, or #8. You will eventually need double pointed needles in the same size, if this helps you choose.
   3. Calculator--the one on your phone will work
   4. Textbook---Sweater Workshop, by Jacqueline Fee
Steeking
Date & Time: Saturday, February 18th OR Thursday Feburary 23rd for Part A. Part B Saturday Feburary 25th OR Thursday March 1st.
Cost: $35, includes one session of Part A and one of Part B.

Class description: Learn this ancient tehnique used in stranded color work garments.You'll REALLY impress people when they learn you CUT your knitting! You MUST take Part A before you take Part B. One session of each is included in your class fee.

Introduction to Lace

Class Description: Create a beautiful washcloth as Nancy guides you through the beginnings of knitting lace, using lifelines and keeping all those yarn overs in check.

Colorwork / Intarsia
Cost: $25

Class Description: Have you looked at colorwork/intarsia patterns and always wanted to make them, but were afraid to start. Sandra will guide you through the pattern of your choice. Don't have a pattern in mind, but want to learn, Sandra will help you select a pattern.
Continetial Knitting: Be a picker

Skill Level: Beginning, must know knit and purl
Class Description: Learn to knit continental. Have you watched continental knitters happily pick their way through rows and rows of knitting faster than you can say throw. Come and learn how they do it.
